Today’s Parola del Giorno is the adjective/noun, esaltato.  As an adjective, it means hot-headed or fanatical.  When used as a noun, it can mean hothead or fanatic.  See the word used below in its context:

I giornalisti scrivono che i manifestanti siano degli esaltati, ignorando che molte delle preoccupazioni della gente siano più che reali e giustificate.

Journalists are writing that the protesters are a bunch of hotheads, ignoring that many of the people’s concerns are more than real and justified.
