Quanti ne abbiamo oggi?

Today’s Parola del Giorno is the expression, Quanti ne abbiamo oggi?, which means What’s today’s date?  See the expression used below in its context:

Sono andato in banca per sbrigare delle commissioni.  Ad un certo punto dovevo fare un assegno.  Mentre lo compilavo, non riuscivo a ricordare il giorno e ho chiesto alla cassiera: “Quanti ne abbiamo oggi?”

I went to the bank to finish up some errands.  At one point I had to write a check.  While I was filling it out, I couldn’t remember the date, and I asked the teller: “What’s today’s date?”
