fare tirocinio

Today’s Parola del Giorno is the verb expression, fare tirocinio, which means to do an internship/apprenticeship. You can see the expression used in its context below (note the missing definite article):

C’è tanta competizione nel mio campo che forse dovrei fare tirocinio prima di entrare nel mondo di lavoro.

There is so much competition in my field that perhaps I should do an internship before entering the working world.
