alzarsi con la luna di traverso

Today’s Parola del Giorno is the verb expression, alzarsi con la luna di traverso, which translates as to get up on the wrong side of the bed.  See the expression used below in its context:

Adamo stamane s’è svegliato con la luna di traverso. È di cattivo umore e risponde sempre male a tutti.

This morning Adam woke up on the wrong side of the bed.  He is in a bad mood and always answering everyone back.
