saltare la colazione

Today’s Parola del Giorno is the verb expression, saltare la colazione, which means to skip breakfast.  You can see the expression used below (as well as my breakfast by clicking here):

Saltavo sempre la colazione finché ho capito che è meglio mangiare qualcosa prima di andare a lavoro.

I always used to skip breakfast until I realized that it is better to eat something before going to work.
