Today’s Parola del Giorno is the expression, È inconsueto che…, which means It is unusual/uncommon that…. This expression often calls for the subjunctive (il congiuntivo).  See the expression used in the context below:

È inconsueto che Marcello non dica la verità. Quando mente c’è sempre una ragione.

It is unusual that Marcello doesn’t tell the truth. When he lies, there is always a reason.
