Today’s Parola del Giorno is the verb expression, venire male, which means to come out badly.  See the expression used below in its context:

La torta è venuta male perché non è lievitata.  Credo di non aver capito la ricetta!

The cake came out badly because it didn’t rise.  I believe I did not understand the recipe!
