Today’s Parola del Giorno is the noun, il pascolo, which means pasture or grassland. See the noun used below in its context:

Il pascolo con le mucche pascolanti è un simbolo della campagna.  Non riesco a  pensare ad un simbolo più efficace e sintetico di questo! Niente rende meglio l’immagine della campagna.

The pasture with grazing cows is a symbol of the country.  I cannot think of a symbol more effective and concise than this.  Nothing conveys the image of the country better.
