feisbuccare

Today’s Parola del Giorno is transitive verb, feisbuccare, which means to facebook.  This is a new word (a neologism) — I’ve seen it in a book that I read recently, entitled: Facebook : Tutti nel vortice by Marco Liorni. It’s an interesting look at the Facebook phenomenon in Italy. There’s even a Facebook group on getting this verb added to the lexicon! You can see the verb used below in its context:

Marta: Diego, hai feisbuccato Giovanna? Pensa che tu sia molto figo!
Diego: Davvero? No, non l’ho fatto ancora! Stasera quando accendo il pc, la aggiungerò.

Marta: Diego, did you facebook Giovanna? She thinks you’re very cool!
Diego: Really? No, I didn’t do it yet. When I turn on the PC tonight, I will add her.
