Today’s Parola del Giorno is the noun, l’istruzione (f.), which means education or schooling.  Don’t confuse this noun with l’educazione (they have slightly different meanings). In everyday Italian, l’educazione can also refer to good manners, while l’istruzione refers to education one receives in a learning setting, usually from a teacher.  See the noun used below in its context:

Ho completato la mia istruzione in Inghilterra perché volevo migliorare ulteriormente il mio inglese.

I completed my education in England because I wanted to improve my English even further.
