bazzicare

Today’s Parola del Giorno continues our theme of friendship with the transitive verb, bazzicare, which translates as to hang out with. Good friends are always hanging out with each other – having dinner, grabbing drinks, seeing a movie, etc. The past participle is bazzicato.  Avere is used in compound tenses.  When conjugated in the present tense, note that the stress is on the first vowel:  bazzico, bazzichi, bazzicha, etc.

Let’s see the verb used in its context below:

Domani bazzico in giro con Stefano e poi andiamo al cinema e poi chissà… magari conosciamo qualche ragazza…magari!

Tomorrow I am hanging out and about with Stefano, and then we are going to the movies and then who knows what…perhaps we will meet some girls…if only!
