Today’s Parola del Giorno is the noun, la caloria, which means calorie — and a word that is sure to be useful during the holiday season, right?  :) See the word used below in its context:

Preferisco uno dei sughi pronti di Nello: ha meno calorie di quelli che si comprano al supermercato e ha un sapore migliore.
