Today’s Parola del Giorno is the intransitive verb, piagnucolare, che vuol dire to whine or to moan as well as to whimper. The past participle is piagnucolato.  Avere is used in compound tenses.

Mio figlio piagnucola quando non può giocare a calcio con i suoi amici. Io gli dico sempre: “Prima dovresti sistemare stanza tua!”

My son whines when he cannot play soccer with his friends.  I always tell him: “First, you should tidy up your room!”
