passare l’aspirapolvere (in una stanza)

Today’s Parola del Giorno is the verb expression, passare l’aspirapolvere, which means to vacuum (a room).  See the expression used below in its context:

La madre di Edoardo è fissata con la pulizia e l’igiene, in modo maniacale! Ogni volta che entro in casa sua è sempre intenta a passare l’aspirapolvere!

Edoardo’s mother is focused obsessively on cleaning and hygiene! Every time that I come into her home she is always intent on vacuuming!
