Today’s Parola del Giorno is the adjective, procace, which means seductive or provocative. See the adjective used below in its context:
La vita dalle star è procace ma in realtà è molto lavoro e non si ha mai privacy!
The stars’ life is seductive, but, in reality, it is a lot of work and you never have any privacy!
How to redeem your iOS code:
Yesterday I emailed the promo codes for the iOS and Mac version of the iBook to those who donated.
To redeem your code, you must be in the iBook Store on your iPad or your Mac. The redeem link for the iPad is on the “Featured” page which is usually the first page that loads on your iPad. Swipe to the bottom, and you’ll see a box that says redeem. Tap on it, and it will prompt you to type in the code (it is the same procedure you use for redeeming your iTunes gift cards). For the Mac, open iBooks. At the top of the screen on the left hand corner, click on iBook Store and then “Redeem” on your right hand side. Manually type in the code. Once you accept, the book will automatically queue for downloading.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to email me. I thought it was easy to do, but some of my friends said it wasn’t obvious so I apologize for not putting clearer instructions on how to redeem the code. Email me if you run into trouble, and I will do my best to troubleshoot! 🙂
For those of you who donated who do not have Macs or iPads, I can give you perpetual access to the Google Play version which will allow you to download a DRM copy of the book to read on your PC or Tablet. The caveat here is that the book has DRM which means that you will need a DRM reader on your tablet (if you read the book in an app other than Google Play) or PC. For the PC, I recommend Adobe Digital Editions. You will also need an Adobe ID. This will allow the book to be read as a PDF. For the tablet or viewing on your computer through Google Play, it is not necessary to have an Adobe ID.
To claim this as your free copy, all you have to do is email me your Gmail address and your name so I know who you are and can check you off the list of people who donated. A Gmail address is required for this option since Google only accepts users with Google accounts. Once I add you, the book will automatically appear in your Google Play bookshelf as well as being enabled for download and reading through books.google.com. If you do not use Google Play, you can still download the book and read it on Adobe Digital Editions or comparable program on your computer or tablet. Through Google Play, it will update automatically but downloads to your computer may not.
This version is also available for people who have iPads or Ipad mini’s since the Google Play app can be placed on these devices, too (and iPhones). This is the best way to get the most up-to-date version of the book and be able to use it in a variety of ways (PC, tablet, etc.).
Kindle and Nook versions?
Kindle and Nook versions will be the last to be done because I do not know how to make epubs very well. It will take some practice, and I do not have time to reformat the book six or seven times. I rather just do it once or twice. However, if this is the version you prefer, I am hoping it will be ready by the end of August.
