Today’s Parola del Giorno is the expression, venire incontro, which means to meet halfway. See the expression used below:
Ai miei genitori non piace venire da me perché vivo un po’ lontano. Invece di litigare abbiamo deciso di venirci incontro. Passano meno tempo in macchina e ci litighiamo di meno!
My parents do not like to come to my house because I live a bit far. Instead of arguing, we decided to meet each other halfway. They spend less time in the car and we argue with each other less!
: I think that I have emailed everyone who donated the download link. If I missed you, please contact me via email (email@example.com). Make sure that you let me know your full name and email address that you used to donate so I can find you on the list. If you donated, and I have forgotten you, please let me know! Some people donated with their spouse’s PayPal or their business PayPal. I’m going through the list again to make sure I didn’t miss anyone.
: A number of people have asked if they could still donate and receive a copy of the ebook: you may make a donation, but it would probably be cheaper to purchase the book ($5.99 via Google Play/iBookstore) instead of making a donation.
: The Google Play edition does not have DRM activated at this time. This means that you can download the pdf and use it on your computer. DRM will be reactivated on September 15th (this will not effect any download you make before then). Once DRM is turned back on, any downloads after that date will require Adobe Digital Editions to use the pdf.
: Apple has accepted all the revisions of the book: version 1.5 is now available. Please update your copies accordingly! For instructions on how to do this, go here or here (this link is probably more helpful!).
: I’m working on the Kindle/Nook version. I hope to finish by the end of August (perhaps even before the weekend if I don’t get distracted).
: I ordered a preview paperback copy to see how it looks. If the quality is OK, I will open it up for purchase. It will be in black and white (and maybe some grays, too!). It should be available on B&N, Amazon, and via Lulu.com. I’ll keep everyone posted!
