Buone Feste a tutti! Today’s Parola del Giorno is the adjective, ghiotto, which means greedy. When used to describe some information, it can mean juicy. With the verb, essere, it can mean to be fond of somethingas in our example below:

Mio figlio da piccolo era ghiotto di caramelle. Dovevo nasconderle affinché lui non le mangiasse.

When my son was little, he was fond of sweets. I used to hide them so that he wouldn’t eat them.

Ciao a tutti! I just want to thank everyone for a great year! We published two ebooks (with two more on the way), and we had a great fundraiser this summer that will keep the site going for a good long while! Traffic to the site has increased a lot, and we are reaching more users all over the world! Thank you so much for support and wonderful emails! I hope that everyone has a wonderful and safe holiday season!

PS: Because of the holidays, we might respond a little less frequently to emails, but after the 1st, things will be back to normal. If you send an email, and I don’t respond right away, just be patient, and I will get back to everyone!
